Braaibroodjies

 8 slices white bread
 24 tbsp melted butter
 Chutney
 2 cups grated sharp white cheddar
 2 small tomatoes thinly sliced
 1 small red onion thinly sliced

Light your charcoal in the KUDU and let them burn to embers with a layer of white ash.

While your KUDU heats up, brush one side of each bread slice with melted butter.

Lay the bread buttered side down on a work surface.

Divide the cheese between 4 slices, then top with 1–2 slices of tomato and onion; season lightly with salt and pepper to taste.

Spread the chutney over the remaining slices of bread, then place them chutney side down atop the sandwiches.

Adjust your grill grate over medium to low heat.

Using a grill basket, grill your braaibroojies over low to medium heat on the grill grate, turning once, until the bread is toasted, and the cheese melted, about 3 minutes per side.
