The KUDU Open Fire Grill’s smart, simplistic design allows you to cook over an open flame using your favorite lump charcoal, briquette, seasoned firewood or smoking wood. Easily adjust both cooking surfaces horizontally and vertically from high heat to low heat by raising the cast iron pan and grill grate away from the flame. The KUDU’s large flat fire pit lets you move the coals around freely, so you can create one large pile of embers or multiple smaller heat zones.

Because The KUDU assembles and breaks down in minutes, you can take it to your next tailgate, camping trip, or anywhere else your journey takes you. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel with an ultra-high temp ceramic coating the KUDU will be around for many years to come.

    This is simply the most versatile, innovative open fire option on the market. I have cooked on many, many pieces from $100 to $25,000.00 and my Kidu is the one I will never let go of. It lives in the back of my station wagon just in case meat happens.

    Any cooking method, virtually any place this is the tool. Kudu constantly has new innovative attachments and accessories. I have cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for my wife and me, small gathering of friends and even a 75 person wedding catering. If I have a bigger event I add a Kudu.

    Not only is it a great tool for pros but even better for home cooks. Easy learning curve , simple to control heat, smoke and flame. charcoal, hardwood doesn’t matter. This is the tool.

    The marketing platform that your grill can replace your TV speaks to me. I have had mine for 2 years and if you love to play with fire and create the best flavored grilled meat all while have the ability to roast,sear,stew or even blanch you will love this grill too. It made all of my other grills(smoker,gas,flat top) obsolete.

    Open flame is remarkable when it comes to taste. The best thing about our Kudu grill is the ability to place vegetables separately from the meat in order for it to cook differently or more slowly. The layers of grilling space allow more to be cooked with out competing for placement area. The cast iron is wonderful and allows us to cook any thing we can dream of. This grill is a game changer when it comes to outdoor living. Love it!!!

    I’ve had mine for 2 years now. It’s extremely versatile and durable. Steaks, veggies,seafood or pork it’s all easily done in the kudu. I have many different kinds of grills. My wife and I are farmers and caterers and this unit is perfect for back yard grilling or packing it up for food and wine events around the country. We take it camping and boating for the perfect wood fire potable kitchen. We have most of the attachments/add ons that go with it. I’ve bought 4 as Christmas/birthday gifts and ALL of the new owners call and thank us for the best gift ever!! Hell im gonna fire it up in the morning and make breakfast tacos from the leftover steak I cooked tonight!! What a great unit!!!

    I love my Kudu!! And I’ve always hated regular grilling. This is more like camping with your buddies and cooking over the campfire. Only much better, because unlike your campfire, this is designed for cooking and has attachments and implements to facilitate cooking each of your courses and side dishes.

    A solid built, well thought out and designed piece of cooking equipment. I have cooked various dishes by grilling, smoking and yes, even steaming on a Kudu. While the concept of fire under food is an easy one, the accessories and the ability to raise the cooking surface to reduce the heat or lower the cooking surface for a higher temp and how that happens in super easy to use.

    Cooking over an open flame produces some of the best tasting food you will ever consume. From the smoke of the natural wood to the grease rendering down to the coals that produce additional flavor you can’t go wrong. I have been cooking over open flame for years but with either home-made pits or fire pits with a swinging grate. However, there has always been the frustration of the pit being stationary away from the party, the ability to control the fire in the pit due to it being on the ground and under the grate, the size of the swinging grate and the fact it swings and the appearance of both. The KUDU is a fix to all those frustrations with added benefits. The KUDU allows for me to have a waist high fire with a big enough area to have the perfect size fire. The two types of cooking areas opens up the possibility for all types of cooking techniques, not to mention the additional smoker lid now converts the KUDU into a smoker that helps produce better smoked meat than your traditional smoker. Lastly, the KUDU has a classier look to it than my pit or makeshift fire pit with swinging grate. Now we bring the cook to the patio where everyone gathers around the KUDU. Not to mention after the cook we stay gathered around it because its now a fire pit. In my opinion KUDU is where its at. I can’t wait to see what they do in the future.

    It’s awesome! Open fire cooking is fun and you can keep the party going without having to go from grill to fire pit. Just remove the cooking implements and pile up wood to keep the crowd entertained with a raging fire. Also, it breaks down easily to take it on the road.


    The Kudu gives you complete control over open fire cooking and it is so versatile with all the cooking techniques it offers. Hands down the best feature is simply the experience of cooking on it. Everyone is drawn to and gathers around the Kudu, making cooking interactive and fun.

    I’ve been using my KUDU for three years – since it was first made available. I have an XL BGE and a Traeger. I use the KUDU way more than the others due to the simple fact – I have the control of the heat through the entire cooking process. Secondly, I am able to cook multiple courses simultaneously. Thirdly, the party stays with me as I cook for my guests. People like watching the action and that is missed in other solutions. Last – it is very portable. Coals out and 20 minutes later I can pack it up and go. I’ve cooked on several at once and the sheer volume of food which can be cooked well is amazing.
