Stewart Vernon is a natural-born businessman and entrepreneur; ever since his teenage years, he’s been steadily working to seek out needs in the world around him and solve them via hard work and professional acumen. As a teenager, he went into business for himself detailing cars; he returned to that line of work in his late college years before moving on to own a swimming pool maintenance business in his hometown of Macon, Georgia immediately post-graduation. He swiftly grew this business into a popular franchise, and he’s now the Founder and CEO of ASP – America’s Swimming Pool Company, the nation’s largest swimming pool cleaning, repair, and renovation franchise system. ASP has been recognized multiple times in Entrepreneur Magazine’s prestigious Top 500 Franchise List. Stewart has spoken on the power of entrepreneurship at various business venues, among them Wesleyan College and Georgia Tech Business School, throughout his career. Most recently, Stewart has been named the first Entrepreneur in Residence at the Innovation Center at Mercer University in Macon. He also spearheaded the creation of Central Piedmont Investment Group, an Angel Fund in middle Georgia that works to assist local start-ups with their funding needs, and he’s a partner of Classic Overland, a vehicle import company founded by KUDU’s own Stebin Horne. He lives in Macon with his wife Shannon and their two children.
